After seeing 2 other neurologists I found Dr. Tobin to be the kind of doctor you wish all doctors could be. He's attentive, actually treats his patients without the rushed 10 minute visit while half listening to you. I also appreciate his slow and steady approach to treating my hemiplegic migraine. Non caring will not work with ins. companies when its great value to patient. Arrogant, gives up and ref's to someone else, dont waste your time
Dr. Tobin has helped me more than any other doctor has in the past, He is very thorough and documents his notes accurately during the visit so nothing is forgotten. I like that he gives a printout of the notes upon leaving, with having memory issues I would forget most of what was discussed without this. He really cares about his patients and spends quality time with you on each visit. Dr. Tobin is extremely professional and VERY interested in everything I have to say. He explains what Doctor terminology means in an understandable manner. Today was my third visit with Dr. Tobin and each time I receive an thorough printout of everything we discussed, differences in tests that have been run etc. I have NEVER received this type of information upon leaving from any doctor I have ever been to. Receptionist is extremely rude and very unhelpful. Dr. Tobin is also rude and very unprofessional. I received no help from his staff and left more confused about my health than when I stepped my feet through his door.
I started seeing Dr. Tobin about five years ago because he was listed on the National Headache Foundation website. He is very thorough, takes the time to listen, and hasn't given up on trying to find new treatment options for me after many standard treatments have failed. He takes notes on the computer during the office visit, which takes a little getting used to, but he's obviously paying attention to what you say. Tobin is probably your best bet for chronic migraine. He's not afraid to try all options. He is as good as it gets. I will continue to see him and follow his advice.
I had been to several neurologist and none seem to have the answers. They put me on meds that caused more problems than it was worth. I did some research of my own and found that Dr Tobin had experience with one of my nerve disorders that I supposedly had.... I was having horrible problems with migraines, to the point that it was impairing my ability to live my life so I finally decided to go see a neurologist. Dr. Tobin is one of the best physicians I've ever had. His bedside manner is excellent. I like that he really takes the time to listen to me.
