I'm in a tough spot and Dr Johnston did a nice job of helping me out and explaining to me what I'm up against and what care is possible.
All was great, to the point

Dr Johnston is an excellent surgeon. Very approachable.
I had Dr Johnston replace my L hip, where he did the anterior surgery. Not only is the scar worse than if he did it posterior, he simply did not care to take the time to even measure my leg, which is now an inch to an inch & a half shorter than the other one. This has created all kinds of havoc & pain for me in my back, neck, ankles, & knees. I would not recommend him to my very worse enemy!

I really liked Dr Johnston and have confidence in him.
I can walk and I’m so happy to move again. I was down for almost a year. He does have you do a ton of prep so as not to get an infection. I thought too much at first but everything is working great now. My hip is happy! Surgery was Jan 20, 2025. Today is March 8. I’ve been walking w no assistance for 3 weeks. I walked 10k steps Friday! I’m happy!Staff took too long to get back to me through the portal a few times, so I’d call instead.
