RESPONSE TO PREVIOUS COMMENT: I would like to say that I have never met this dentist however I have worked in the dental field for more than 10 years and it is ALWAYS the responsibility of the patient to pay the difference. I do not understand why the insurance would have told him he did not have to pay the difference. Your insurance is a payment plan NOT a treatment plan. Think twice before you use this dentist. They insist I own them the difference between they asked and the insurance company paid. Even my insurance company called them that dentist in their network is supposed to charge at the insurance company's standard rate, and I am not responsible to pay. After 6 months, I still receive their bill every month and they just don't listen to any reasoning. If you don't want such a trouble and headache, avoid them at any cost.
