I had a laminectomy/decompression and discectomy on the L4/L5 and L5/S1 and was a total success. I came to Dr Blythe not knowing what was going on, thought it was sciatica but found herniated discs and sever spinal stenosis. He did a minimal invasive surgery and I was up walking a mile the next day and off pain meds by day 3. I would recommend Dr Blythe for back problems and any other ortho issues. I feel like my old self again after just a very short time. Thanks Dr Blythe.

Thanks to Dr. Blythe for seeing me about my lower back pain. He explained my options and overall plan. Thanks to physical therapy and anti-inflammatories I should be able to manage it for a long time without surgery and it is much improved.
All reviews of this surgeon seem to be positive, and he seems to be a well revered spinal surgeon. I don't know why I was the exception. Several years ago Dr. Blythe did an ACL repair on my left knee. What was supposed to be a 2 hour procedure lasted over 8 hours, and the nerve block administered made me lose function in both legs for weeks due to it being a spinal nerve block (nearly unheard of for an ACL repair), but that could have been the anesthesiologist's decision.
