Not interested in helping, just loading you with drugs I’ve seen Dr Sweica a few times and at first I thought he could help but after a sleep study, prescription for Gabapentin, then Naltrexone, with no real improvements (this is over the course of a couple years with appointments sparse at best) I was heavily sleep deprived and at my wits end. I don’t usually write reviews, but felt compelled to in this case. I saw the other negative reviews here and decided to give Dr. Swieca the benefit of the doubt—but unfortunately, the criticisms turned out to be quite accurate. While Dr. Swieca is clearly experienced, I can’t recommend him based on my visit. He arrived 40 mins late and spent a large portion of the apt discussing unrelated personal matters, leaving little time to address my actual concerns. I don’t understand the carry on in these reviews. Not everyone is a mind reader, if you’re unhappy on the day - ask more questions. John is a very personable professional. John’s initial consultation hit the nail on the head. After showing him home sleep study results, we did a sleep study at Melbourne Sleep Centre (forget the name) and I’m now on a CPAP which has given me THE BEST quality of sleep ever and medication to assist with sleep also.
