I am deeply disappointed in the treatment I received at this office. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism and lack of compassion in a medical setting. During my appointment, I was belittled, dismissed and ignored. When I attempted to discuss my symptoms and medical history, I was told I was wrong and my concerns were invalid. A very memorable experience from the first visit to the last visit. Extremely friendly and professional office personnel. Dr. Oster did a fantastic job on a delicate procedure. As a veteran I would recommend Dr. Oster to fellow Veterans. This office is by far the best I have experienced in visual care throughout my life.
Dr. Oster is a great doctor. I would recommend him to my family and friends. He is very personal and kind. Tami does a great job also plus, the rest of his staff. When I had surgery at Canyon View Surgery center they were all so kind and professional. Addie was so nice and polite. I would give them my top rating. I have seen a lot of doctors but, they get my vote.
I would not recommend Dr. Oster especially to my family and friends. I am surprised by the 3 star out of 5 star rating. Perhaps 1 star?! He talks to his assistant like you aren't there. You have to ask him what is he talking about. And to call me "Sweetheart" how demeaning!!! That term is reserved for my husband of 41 years. Dr. Oster did a great job removing my cataracts. I had RK in the 80's so it was a difficult surgery and I had no issues. Which I could have had several problems because of it. He is a very skilled eye surgeon who cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone. The before care and after care I received form him and his staff, Tami and Alea was great. They make sure you understand the instructions and check on you, I can not say enough about the great experience I had. Thank you.
I can't speak to Dr. Oster's competence, but based on his long list of accomplishments, he is likely an excellent physician. However, I won't hire a physician that does not talk to his/her patients. Apparently Dr. Oster leaves that up to his assistants, as I found out when I asked a simple question and he quickly exited the exam room. The abruptness was rather strange. I want a physician that will communicate with me directly and in a courteous, professional manner.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PHYSICIAN. He lies to his patients and instructs the staff to do the same. Tammy is the most rude medical office person I have ever experienced. I am in the health business and if any of my staff treated a patient like she treated me I would fire them. Tammy lied to me about why my moms surgery was rescheduled. She blamed in on the surgery center even though it was the physician that wanted to change the date so he could recover from a 100 mile race. IT WAS THE LYING......
I regret having my surgery done by Dr. Oster. His office staff in Grand Junction is incompetent. I read the negative reviews and did not heed their advice. My mistake. The negative reviews were accurate.
