I first benefitted from the care of Dr John Slaughter as a troubled medical student in 1987. Thirty five years later at age 54 I look back with gratitude knowing that I wouldn't be here without Dr Slaughter's dedication, patience, wisdom and compassion. He is a great credit to the medical specialty of psychiatry.
