Dr Rod has done a total shoulder replacement and wrist surgery. His infection rate is close to zero and he is exceptional in explaining the problem and the correction. My recovery times after surgery have been exceptionally short and pain free. I am a very pleased 74 year old female. Dr Rod is by far the best surgeon I have ever had. He treats everyone with kindness and respect.
I had endoscopic carpal tunnel releases on both wrists, and the night after surgery was the first time in 10 years that my numbness in my hands didn't wake me up. I only have tiny scars on my wrists that aren't noticeable unless you're looking for them. I have seen some of his other patients' surgery scars too, and I have to say Dr. Rod's incisions are the prettiest I've ever seen.
On 6/21/17, Dr. Rod performed a total left knee replacement on me. I could not be any more satisfied with his work. Not only do you see Dr. Rod before and after surgery for appointments, but he is constantly popping in the PT room and checking on everyone there. Dr. Rod is one of the most personable physicians that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, down-to-earth doctor!!!
Dr Rod used to be a friend. He totally destroyed my life. Had total hip replacement June 2015 by Dr. Rod. He did procedure improperly, causing 5 dislocations. The angle of the entire prosthetic was done wrong. Had my second revision yesterday with another surgeon, of course. Due to need for additional surgeries to correct problem, and inability to work, I am losing my job, insurance and house will be foreclosed. There is NO legal recourse in AL. My advice-do NOT let him operate on your hip.
The doctor barely listened to what I said, he ordered an mri and then questioned why I was saying I had right side pain, I never said I had right side pain! Sat in his waiting room for 2 hours watched people come and go that had appointments the same time I did, they had xrays and exams done in the 2 hours I was waiting. All I needed was 10 minutes tops for him to tell me I have herniated discs and give me my options.
