Dr. Abikhaled is a great doctor. He is very patient friendly and knowledgable. My 2006 and 2012 surgeries by him were very successful.
Although my urologist suggested four other surgeons, I chose Dr. Abikhaled on the strong recommendation of my G.P. As a person, Dr. A is pleasant, friendly, and attentive. As a doctor, he is thoroughly versed in the pros and cons of various procedures and clearly explains your options and his recommendation; I would describe his touch during examinations as both gentle and knowing. Dr. Abikhaled recently removed my husband's gall bladder and repaired a hernia. Dr. A is very professional, knowledgeable and diligent in explaining all the details as well as options available. He is compassionate and caring and has a wonderful bedside manner. His office staff is very accommodating as well and did a great job of staying in touch throughout the entire process from beginning to end. We would highly recommend Dr. Abikhaled and would use his services again (though hopefully we won't have to!)
Dr. John Abikhaled is an outstanding surgeon. He listens, answers any & all questions and calms your fears when you do decide to have surgery. He uses the latest techniques and also the OnQ pain reliever, if you so choose. I had 18" of my colon removed & had little to no pain! I was up walking the next day and went home after 3 days. Warm, empathetic staff. Dr. Abikhaled really took the time to make sure I understood options and allowed me to make informed decisions.
Dr. Abikhaled is a knowledgeable, experienced and great human being. He diagnosed and treated my problem without many unnecessary appointments. He doesn't charge anything extra and is very upfront about costs and options. You don't feel pressured and he is very respectful. I am very glad he did my surgery and would recommend it to friends and family.
Dr. Abikhaled was recommended by a physician friend of mine who used him as a surgeon for himself and for his own family. Dr. Abikhaled is a very thorough in his assessments and his practice of medicine is impressive. I would unquestionably recommend him to my own family and friends. KUDOS for Dr. Abikhaled!!
I have never given feedback online before but Dr. Abikhaled saw me after a significant bicycle crash. He was kind, understanding, extremely knowledgeable and creative in his approach to handling my injury (even without surgery). I recommend him highly.
Dr. Abikhaled is a very thorough surgeon. My medical issues were unexplainable and he worked with me and when he realized that he had done all he knew to help me, he referred me to another wonderful physician where he went to medical school. To me he went above and beyond his duties. He will always be my first choice for a surgeon in Austin.
