I met Dr Joffe April fools day 1993 complaining of headaches and nausea. Having passed all the standard neurological tests with flying colours he nonetheless insisted I get a CT scan. Thanks to his tenacity my brain tumour was diagnosed. 30 years later, I am alive and well, the day Dr Joffe saw me I had a week to live. Thank you sounds so inadequate
