He is very professional, excellent doctor.
I can not get any help related to upcoming surgery. I tried for the entire week last week. I posted a more detailed review, but it does not show here. in the reviews
Dr. Cohen is an excellent doctor, however his office staff is very unreliable. Twice they have forgotten to put my file into the holder for my doctor so I ended up sitting in the waiting room for an hour until I asked them what was going on. Then when I had cataract surgery they failed to order the eye drops ahead of the surgery because their computer system was down, they said, and I couldn't get all of the drops I needed until the day following surgery.

I have been going to Dr Cohen for several years. Sometimes I have to wait most times I don’t. I like the fact that if he sees something that concerns him he is going to check it out then. My eyesight is very important to me as I am sure to the rest of his patients. So if I have to wait a little while I know he is giving someone else excellent care. I want the best that is why I came to Dr . Cohen.
My family: husband, children, Mother, Father-in-law, sister, have seen Dr. Joel Cohen, ophthalmology specialist , for about 30 years. He is a stellar ophthalmology specialist. Our family would not go to any other eye doctor in this area. He is infamous for keeping his patients waiting for hours. In view of his expertise, I suppose this is a minor complaint. I am very upset. My daughter had surgery scheduled and we had to cancel it because she was very sick. I have tried to reschedule by calling at least 3 times. Requested they call me and they never have. I do not know what to do!!
My father, who is 85, had an appointment with Dr. Joel S. Cohen today at 11am at 1pm, after his eyes had been dilated for 2 hours, they left. Dr. Cohen showed no interest in the fact that they could not wait any longer nor did he have any issues with checking eyes that had been dilated for that length of time. They have to hire a driver due to the fact that being 85 and having dilated eyes it would not have been safe to drive. Therefore they were out the time and money and still were not seen.
I have seen Dr. Cohen for over 30 years now. If you're in a hurry, then this is not the place for you. He does not leave until the last one has been seen. He also sees patients 3 Sat out of the month so that means he only takes Sun & a few Sat off. That is how dedicated he is to seeing his patients. Dr. Cohen is a very good doctor & he does care about his patients. I have a very bad astigmatism & I have tried seeing other drs and they just cannot get my prescription right.
