Visit, once you can finally arrange one is fine IF you see a nurse practitioner. That is the only way anyone is actually going to listen to what is going on with you. The real problem is no one will follow up with results, answer the phone when you call for information, return messages, or respond to prescription (non-narcotic) refills.
We have been seeing Dr. Bunwell for 10 years. I have referred him to family and friends. They are through and take good care of our family and we have some serious health problems that require close monitoring. I still drive 2 hours to see them even though we have moved out of Gulfport.
Appointments are scheduled in advance and are often cancelled because Burwell will not be in the office. So after them failing to meet the appointment set and you need a simple prescription called in for a sinus infection , they refuse to call in antibiotic because they haven't seen you in over a year because of their error and missed appointments. The conclusion is go to a walk in clinic. Why have a family physician when their solution is to go to one of the walk in clinics. No thank you
