Dr. Ackerman is simply the best in his field! He not only has the knowledge to provide services to his patients they need, but he has the heart. Dr. Ackerman was able to find issues in my mother's knee that over doctors had missed. Thanks to him, we were able to resolve the issue quickly and come up with a plan to keep it from occurring in the future. He was truly an answer to prayers for my mother's health! Dr. Ackerman is very patient and did my spinal cord stimulator implant. But they didn't inform me that he is not in network with my insurance. So an expected bill has arrived. Had 2 follow up visits and the lady at the front desk said "no charge" for follow up. Got additional bill for 2 co pays of $25.00 each. Beware.
Dr. Ackerman is very rude and disrespectful. I, sought out his help for pain management after surgery. Joel, dismissed me and I received a letter from him stating he will no longer see me. I, do have a balance at his office. It can be sent to collections, makes no difference to me. My brother is a Pain Management Specialist and said that was not the way he would treat a patient. If I could give him a zero I would though I understand it makes no difference what I believe.
Dr. Ackerman has been with me the last 5 years treating me for 2 separate injuries! He has been so supportive and helpful on making sure my recovery has gone well with minimal pain. He has never given up on me when times were tough.
