My mother passed away on a Tuesday. Our family had her arrangements made within 2 days. Well, 16 DAYS after we lost her our family contacted the funeral home to ask about her cremation and when we would be able to collect her ashes. We were then told that the medical examiner had not signed her death certificate so they had not been able to perform their duties. 16 DAYS…..and not even her death certificate was done?!?! My sister passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 11 2022. We made the arrangements next day. We were told Dr Joe Fite would have to sigh death certificate that was 16 days later. My family has been thru hell with this. We told her good bye on thursday Oct. 13 2022. This is so uncalled for. He was at the hospital on the day she died and marked it natural causes. So why in the HELL did it take him 16 days to sign the certificate. If he is that damn busy then he needs to ask the state for help. I am not finished with my sister laying... read more
