I would not recommend Dr. Gewirtz. As other reviewers indicate below, she has ZERO bedside manners, and is very dismissive, antagonistic and insulting. I had an experience similar to her patient below with her son. My mother had an appointment with Dr. Gewirtz and had asked me to go with her since English is her second language and wanted me to help communicate the issues she was experiencing to the doctor. I went to see Dr Gewirtz for a dry eyes exam and brought my 10 year old son and was REFUSED to be seen because he was with me. As my son sat quietly (as he generally does) playing games or watching videos on his tablet Dr. Gewirtz said that he must stay in the waiting room ALONE! She said that she could not have him in the room since she was DISTRACTED by him/children. LOVE, LOVE Dr. Gewirtz she is awesome, knowledgeable and knows what is means to be a Doctor - but the exam rooms are is need of an update/refresh
very caring and complete. found i had glaucoma; two optomotrists missed this
Dr Gewirtz was very caring and very thorough. She listened to my complaints and made sure to test my eyes completely. My exam was pain free. I am very happy to have her as my eye doctor.
She obviously filled out the first 2 evaluations by herself.
Dr.Gewirtz is an amazing eye doctor. She listens and communicates well with the patients. I would highly recommend her.
