Dr. Butcher is a caring and highly competent physician. She treats the whole patient with care and compassion and appointment times are not rushed.
I was taken back by this doctors rude behavior? It came out of nowhere...I will not be back!
This has been my doc for almost 12 years i trust her more then most of my family. She has been my sanctuary during some dark times. She is amazing.
She was running an hour and a half behind for my first appointment. I understand that things happen, but I am also a professional and cannot spend unlimited time out of my office during the day. When she finally called me back I was obviously upset at the wait (I wasn’t making a scene or anything, just annoyed) and she told me I could reschedule or find another psychiatrist. After a little more discussion she wanted to kick me out bc I was “complaining” and “she can choose who she treats.” WOW.
Joan BUTCHER needs a new profession! Blows my mind that this person is allowed to practice medicine?
Worst doctor I have ever been to. She was rude, cold and uncaring. I felt the entire time she was trying to provoke me to argue with her. Her advice to me was to be selfish, inconsiderate cold. Exactly the way she was to me. I walked out of there feeling worse than I did when I went. Her name fits her well.
Never. She is terrible and treated my son terribly. Screamed in his face and was rude to me. She should not be working with patients struggling with mental illness. Nobody should be subjected to her. She is unstable herself.
Dr. Butcher should not be allowed to have a practice consulting adolescents! For kids who may already be feeling down or bad about themselves, she just makes it worse. Choose another doctor for sure!
NO. DO NOT put your mental and physical health in her care. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a physician. EVER. Makes hasty diagnoses w/o adequate or thoughtful analysis. Her demeanor is very unprofessional, impatient and uncaring; she speaks without regard or respect for patient. She is ill-suited to treat patients whose emotional states are often fragile, agitated, anxious, depressed, etc. PICK A DIFFERENT DOCTOR.
