In September 2025, I developed a severe infection in my right ear. For over a month, I consulted three different doctors at a clinic and was treated with oral antibiotics and antibiotic ear drops, but my symptoms did not improve. The pain became increasingly severe, so I visited the Emergency Department at Mount Sinai Hospital. The ER physician collected a specimen from my right ear and referred me to an ENT specialist.
