Avoid. Very unprofessional. Literally laughed at a diagnosis by a John's Hopkins affiliated doctor confirming a newly discovered genetic cause for a condition (where genetic testing was done by the only approved lab in the country) and told me to find a new doctor for the other problem. Sent me away with orthotics that caused foot pain in her office after remaking them once already saying she did not know how to fix them and try them anyway. Dr. Nguyen is the best podiatrist I have ever had. She has a terrific bedside manner, very competent in her skills and very gentle. I always look forward to my appointments.
Dr. Nguyen is very thorough in her examination and diagnostic procedures, and within 5 minutes she discovered issues my previous podiatrist had missed. She gives very thorough explanations of your foot anatomy and how it affects your condition. She works with you directly to control costs and help you get maximum coverage for any orthotics. Most importantly, she offers a non surgical alternative for my condition whereas my previous podiatrist wanted to perform a very risky operation. Dr. Nguyen is very nice and very thorough. She carefully reviewed notes from my previous visits, questioned me, and carefully examined my foot and my x rays. She spent a good bit of time explaining my options for treatment. The first and simplest option was a pair of orthotics, which I bought that day. I experienced immediate improvement in symptoms after their first use. Other more drastic options will hopefully be unnecessary. We'll see.
