I had an appointment at 9:10 am. I arrived at 8:46 am. As I’m still sitting here at 10:15 am, I asked what was the purpose of having an appointment if my doctor himself would not honor the schedule. 1.5 hours waiting and still waiting IT IS RIDICULOUS! She told me “if at any point in time you decide to reschedule we can do that” how darn convenient of them to say. I had an appointment with Dr West on 3-1-23 which I was referred to him by me regular doctor. They had no availability for 3 weeks - I booked the appointment and there office called me twice wanting to verify my insurance and remind me to be there early for paperwork. They called a second time and made sure i knew they date and to be there early again. I arrived 20 minutes early and filled out the 8 pages of preventative paperwork they needed. We booked an 4p appointment with Dr. West at the Wylie location for our daughter's sinus issues. We arrived way early for this appointment and finished paperwork, only to be seated outside for the next 1.5 hrs with no communication on when Dr. West can be visited. Finally, upon asking, the receptionist mentioned that "oh, sorry it will take at least another hour till he finishes seeing 3 other patients in front of you". Truly unprofessional and poor customer service.

My appointment was at 3:45 and I arrived about 5 -10 minutes early. I didn't get called to the back until 4:40. Was told the audiologist would come talk to me. She did and took me for testing. Back in the patient room by 5pm. After sitting there for another 20 minutes, I got up and left. I was there a total of an hour and a half. Not once did anyone communicate with me that the doctor was running late. Several people who arrived after me were called back before me. After waiting for 1.5 hours, I was finally taken to an exam room. The audiologist was very friendly and informative but, the visit with Dr. West was one of the most uncomfortable doctor visits I’ve had. He came in, sat down, and took off his mask, quickly muttering he said it was ok to do. A doctor, especially an ENT who sees numerous patients every day, should never assume that it is ok to not wear a mask in these times. Dr. West is great but his staff is no good. You leave a message when you call his office and you may or may not get a call back. In my case, he recommended several courses of action and after they failed, he suggested that I see a specialist. Said to call his office to get the referral. I called and left a message. 2 days later, his nurse called back and I requested the referral. She said there were no notes in the file & she must talk to the doctor. 2 1/2 weeks later, I have not heard back.
