This doctor would not believe that a previous injury caused my foot problem and misdiagnosed me with a bunion that did not have. He told me corrective surgery was the only way to fix it, so I agreed. The surgery made my situation worse and I was unable to walk without pain. My toe stuck upwards and shoes would not fit. Too much ego caused this. Don't trust him if you think you know your own body better than he does. 20 months later I'm still 'crippled'.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Coster and Alexandria Podiatry Associates. Dr. Coster is an expert physician with extraordinary bedside manner; he reviewed my x-rays, recognized the “foreign object” (a sewing needle!) needed to be removed ASAP, and added me to his surgery schedule the very next day! Morgan, his office manager, jumped through hoops to make the arrangements and patiently answered all my questions. There are not enough stars. I HATE doctors and needles even more. It is extremely stressful for me. Dr. Coster's friendly and calming personality eases my tension. He's always willing to give me the time to answer any question. I never feel like it's a rushed appointment.

For nearly six months, I was experiencing frequent swelling of my right foot along with severe pain. Three times the diagnosis was infection. Then I visited Dr. Coster, who found that a small bone fragment had broken off. He scheduled me for outpatient surgery, which was completed in 15 minutes with virtually no pain and a very quick reccovery. It was a great experience by a very competent and caring doctor and a great staff. His entire practice is so well managed, efficient and professional.
