The staff can be a bit annoying but Nekoba is a great doctor and I have been his patient for the the past 7 years.
I've been a patient for 12 years but I am leaving the practice. There have been issues with some of the staff who are curt, disinterested and impolite. The senior staff is excellent but the main front desk clerk is not.I am not leaving because of the admin staff. I have come to detest the factory like experience that has come to be. Dr. Nekoba is an excellent doctor who has a genuine care for his patients and their well-being. He is compassionate and makes appropriate referrals, when necessary, and never fails to follow up on issues of any seriousness. This, coupled with his persistence, makes him the most thorough of doctors. For example, when facing a very serious and incurable illness, he insisted on seeing me in-person rather than conveying this news through the cold medium of the phone or through a nurse. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Nekoba for over a year and a half. He is a great doctor. He listens and explains himself very well. I highly recommend him. I agree with the comments about the longer wait in the waiting room and the front desk staff not being as friendly as they should be. I worked in a doctor's office in the past and I know that it isn't an easy job so I give lots of credit to those that do work in a doctor's office. Dr. Nekoba's practice appears to have gone out of business with no warning. As of May 14, 2007, repeated phone calls to the number listed on Huntsman Medical Clinic's Website and confirmed by Verizon Directory Assistance resulted in a recording saying that the number was no longer in service. Calls were made from both Springfield and Quantico by two different people. One of us had visited the clinic within the last two weeks and saw no sign of anything amiss.
Dr. Nekoba is without question the finest physician I have seen in my 50 years. He shows compassion and really cares about my needs. I recommend him only to those who want exceptional health care!
Dr. Nekoba is wonderful, warm and friendly and willing to take the time to really talk with patients. He does an excellent job talking with my young kids as well -- and LISTENING to them, which many doctors won't do for kids. He supports our outside-the-mainstream choices, such as not circumcizing and homeschooling. He doesn't push medication, and often recommends a less-interventive approach at first. Our family and several friends have used Dr. Nekoba many years. We're very happy with his knowledge and attention to detail. The worst (and this is unanimous) is the rudeness one receives from his reception staff. Other than that, we are quite happy.
