I had a total right hip replacement in October, 2023. Dr. Gillette did a fantastic job. I was virtually pain free after surgery, walking with a walker for 6 days, then on to a cane for a week, and then walking with no assistive devices and without a limp! I did 6 weeks of physical therapy and Force exercises after my discharge from outpatient physical therapy. Dr. Gillette and his team never rush me and answer all my questions when I go for my visits. Dr. Gillette and his staff do a fantastic job of making a patient feel comfortable about their surgery. Pre-and post surgery. I would definitely recommend the Gillette team to my friends and family and actually , I already have.
Dr Gillette did my hip a couple years ago and I definitely wanted him for my knee. He (and his team) are up front and let you know what is expected of you as part of your recovery team. They gave quick response to any questions I had through the Force app. and made me feel like I was part of my team.
I was on a walker for years, heading for a Wheelchair within months when I went to see him. Both knees were in terrible condition. My best outcome would be to have no pain and continue with the walker. At least that is what I thought. After the first knee replacement, I went to therapy and boy did that help. I still used my walker because the other knee was to weak without it. I couldn’t have asked for better care! Wonderful results with surgery and recovery.
I am a very active person. I love to hike, bike, ski, run and travel. Dr. Gillette successfully replaced my left hip. I have had an excellent recovery since surgery and am returning to the active lifestyle which I have always enjoyed.
