After receiving her first dose of chemotherapy, my 74-year-old mother was rushed to the hospital with a ruptured bowel. During surgery, Dr. Gu clipped her splenic artery, and she spent the next four weeks suffering in the hospital before finally being released. She died the very next day. I have no doubt that my mother would still be alive today had she been in the hands of a different surgeon.
He will make your problems worse. He bands circumstantially instead of double banding, believing in using all four bands at once. During a bowel movement, that would create too much pressure, causing the bands to release. I’m not sure if he’s properly educated or just going off his own hypothesis.
