Dr. Spiro almost killed my husband when he refused to scope him and missed STAGE 4 THROAT CANCER. We went to see him repeatedly and he would only do a biopsy from the outside. When a family friend who is a PA asked my husband to open his mouth and let her take a look, she immediately recommended him to a different ENT who scoped right away and within seconds knew it was a cancerous tumor. Absolutely the worse DOCTOR of my life. I dislike him so much for the permanent damage he has caused!
Dr. Spiro was extremely rude. He told me he wished he had seen what I was coming in for, as he would have had my appointment cancelled. He said that I need to just live with the issues I am having, and questioned why I'd waited so long to be seen for this if it was such a problem. He then noticed my work badge, and called me "one of the vultures who set up shop near UConn to capitalize on their success."
