I have a compalint. 20 years ago this man cleaned out my ankle - a sub-talar debridemnet - he took two chips of bone out. He told me the clean up might last for 10 years, after which fusion would be necessary. His prognosis was widely innacurate. It is now more than 20 years on and the joint is as good as it was when he first did it. OK, if I hike around all day on it, it will ache a bit the next day for a while. But otherwise it is fine - better now in fact than it had been in the 15 odd years before he sorted it.
