I wish to treat each and every patient as if they were a member of my family. My goal is to help each person attain the most physical capabilities in a safe and healthy manner while educating them along the way. As an experienced physician with more than 14 years of specialization in orthopaedics, I take an interactive approach to caring for my patients. I believe the most important aspects of providing quality care are communication, patient education and prevention of musculoskeletal injury.

I have seen a lot of orthopedists, and Dr. Traub is by far the best. Even when the other sports medicine doctors tell you that you are done, he obviously enjoys finding ways to keep you going with the activities that you love. He is very non-invasive from what I have seen so far - a real plus if you are already dealing with issues from previous surgeries. Also, actually seems to take the time to learn and remember details about his patients.
Family members and I have been seeing Dr Traub for years. First treated my son who had broken his arm. I've had both shoulders, knee scopes and metatarsophalangeal joint replacement. Always friendly, courteous and generous with his time. He listens to the patient. Have also had orthotics made via his guidance that are some of the best I've ever had. Have made numerous referrals, all with more than satisfactory results. Definitely one of the best.
I was referred to Dr. Traub from a friend who had just gone through knee replacement surgery. I was having knee and hip issues. The hip required an MRI. Well his staff neglected to prescribe contrast with my MRI and the results were inconclusive. Dr. Traub never owned up to the mistake, but the staff member DID. They only offered to pay for the difference of what the contrast would be for a SECOND MRI. So I am now stuck with the costs of TWO MRI'S. I DIDN'T GET THE 2ND AND NEVER WENT BACK!!
Business response:
There was no mistake. I'm sorry you felt there was one. Most MRIs are not ordered with a contrast injection into the hip. Very rarely are the results inconclusive and contrast is needed. Most disorders (AVN, arthritis, cysts, bursitis) do not require injections therefore I don't immediately order an MRI with an injection. It is painful and some people have allergic reactions. Only if the results are inconclusive do I order a second MRI.
I was referred by my boss.He tells me Dr. Traub was the best and treats him like a king. I get there no one knows my name, I had scheduled an appointment.I then have to wait about 30 minutes after the already scheduled appointment time to see the good Dr. He was busy with his mother and her friend who were visiting. He storms into the observation room, looks me over and says get an MRI and get back to me, he walks out. $75 copay for that. There is not enough room to finish :( very unhappy!!!
Business response:
Chris, I ordered an MRI after you were examined by both, my PA as well as by myself. We both felt you had an injury that required an MRI. I'm sorry your insurance you bought requires a 75 copay. There is nothing I can do about that. As far as waiting, if I remember correctly, you were "fit in" to my schedule last minute. I see a lot of patients and see every one of them. You don't just see a PA like most practices. If you went elsewhere, I'm sure they will order an MRI as well.
Dr. Traub has become a member of our family. Going back to 2010, he treated my husband for a slap tear in his right shoulder. Later that year he treated my husband's left shoulder. Then in 2011 my dad fell during an ice storm and broke his arm which also resulted in frozen shoulder. In 2014, I had a total knee replacement on the left knee. In 2015, I had a total knee replacement on the right knee. Dr. Traub and his staff are the most professional and caring people.
Wonderful doctor and staff. Kind hearted on time profession yet warm.
