I fell and broke my shoulder, the surgery was a little more complex as they waited 2 weeks to see if it would start healing itself. No such luck, had surgery yesterday and whole team was outstanding. Will see Dr. O'Brien in 2 weeks for follow up.Highly recommend
Best orthopaedic surgeon ever
I have never been treated by a doctor in the BC medical system with such sexism and condescension. I am a seasoned athlete and I have a lot of experience with orthopedic docs and emerge visists in other provinces. This time, the injuries consist of possible MCL tear, ACL tear and meniscus injuries. After driving 2 hours to this appointment, I was brushed off within, no exaggeration, 2 minutes. I wish the phone calls I had with the office , about my daughter would have been handled differently the amount of money it takes for a child too get a cast removed is unbelievable , specially when there is no medical coverage.. due to msp wrongly filing a child as a non bc resident when she is one an has always been one .. I do say the sectarian was nice and did her job .. i wish I could get the proper information I need to follow up so she can get her cast removed . Dr O'Brien did a great job for me, removing part of my meniscus (complex tear). He explained the process just before surgery. He was personable, articulate and approachable (I had questions!). He was the same at my 1 week check. Invited me to book another appt if I still had pain in a month. Highly recommend him!
