When I went to see Dr Kaplan, I'd lost 75% of the sight in my left-eye... it was almost completely black, with just a thin area of actual vision on the outer edge. I was booked in for surgery two days later and the blacked out area is now gone! It will still take a while for my eye to recover from the surgery, so things are a bit blurry out of the left eye for now, but my brain is able to compensate with what I see with my right eye a whole lot better than it could before the surgery. Dr. Kaplan is the ONLY Opthalmologist we will ever use. In the middle of a Sunday night my husband woke up and could not see out of his right eye. The ER confirmed it was a detached retina--a condition that if not treated could lead to blindness. He was absolutely terrified. I have taken my Mother-in-law for many years to see Dr Kaplan for eye injections. She has vision in only one eye and Dr Kaplan has been able to preserve this by halting her Macular Degeneration. Before she met Dr Kaplan she had lost total vision in her other eye due to AMD. We are grateful for his skill and care
I saw Dr Kaplan for a macular hole. He’s a very talented and capable surgeon . He explained everything in detail and made the experience positive and easy. He is always on time for visits and his staff is accommodating and pleasant. I would highly recommend!
My personal contact with Dr. Jason A Kaplan. (06/21/2024 thru 07/3/2024). I suffered a sudden retina tear/detachment (if you experience a sudden onset of Floaters, flashing light, and decreased vision --- PLEASE, see a qualified ophthalmologist), that warranted my immediate contact with this amiable and thoughtful physician/human being.
