My wife had a terrible experience with Jason Bourque. She had a surgery to remove a kidney stone. The surgery went well and Jason came and spoke to me after the surgery. ( So far, so good. I was impressed). He put a stent in place and told my wife to go to his office and one of the nurses could remove it. ( after 3 days. I didn't question it. Had a consultation with Dr. Bourque and found him well informed, sensible, and personable. Southern Urology is fortunate to have a physician of his caliber onboard.
Had a total Prostatecomy with Dr. Bourque in June of 2022. It couldn't have gone better. No incontence at all! And, I still have the ability to have intimacy with my spouse! Because I am a healthcare provider (Dentist for 45 years), I know alot of Doctors and many (unsolicited) recommendations were made on who I should use. Many out of State Doctors were recommended! I have known the Bourque Family for many years and I am glad I stayed home for my proceedure.
Terrible bed side manner and one of the most unprofessional meetings and conversations I’ve ever experienced with a Doctor. He cared nothing about the patient and mentioned multiple times that he was just on call and was tired because he performed multiple surgeries that day. Terrible representation of Southern Urology and Lourdes for that matter. Seems to have a “God” complex and presents himself that way. He has lost touch with the fact that his patients are real people with real lives.
