Dr. Pettiford is one of the most kind and caring doctors I have ever been to. When she diagnosed me with cancer, she stayed well past closing time, called the oncologist immediately to get my appointment expedited, gave me her cell phone number, and made us as knowledgeable as possible. When I was hospitalized after treatment, for sepsis (not even her area or fault), she called several times to check on me through the ED and during my stay.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. Dr. Pettiford was very thorough and explained my type of cancer, the staqe it was in, and what procedures I would have to take. She made me feel confident that in my battle with cancer that I would survive and win. During surgery she was not only there as my surgeon, but made me feel that she was also there as my friend. I found a lump in one of my breasts and after a mammogram and ultrasound, I was referred for a biopsy. A friend suggested Dr. Pettiford, so I made an appointment. I was clearly terrified when I walked into her office. Everyone I interacted with was calming and compassionate. I was seen quickly. Dr. Pettiford spent quite a bit of time with me showing me what the radiologist found, repeating the ultrasound, and explaining why she was convinced the findings were regular breast tissue. She's great!
