I had a 12:00 appointment with Dr. Yoo and arrived at 11:45. Ahead of my visit, I sent copies of my insurance cards and received their information on plan G, Medicare supplemental. When I arrived the receptionist looked at my cards and said “Mutual of Omaha is out of network”. Feeling that I should be covered, I ask her what she meant. I had a terrible experience with Dr Janie Yoo. I would not actually give her any stars. A booking miscommunication resulted in my being charged for a procedure I was told would be covered. I contested and their error was treated as my bad debt. It would take 3.5 months and multiple hours of my time and energy before the charge and so called ‘bad-debt’ would be reversed.
