This is ten years ago but important. Dr Melnick refused to do a another colonoscopy despite pain and my generalist’s recommendation. She insisted that she had read the colonoscopy right two years before and there was no way I had cancer. I went to a different gastroenterologist on a Thursday and had extensive surgery for serious cancer surgery the next Monday. Had I followed Dr Melnick’s advice I would be dead.
Scheduled an appointment due to serious inflamation and bleeding, not to a degree that requires an ER but does require immediate attention. Appointment was set for 7:30am and due to serious traffic (took nearly 3 hours) i was 20 minutes late. I attempted to call on my way to notify im running late but no one answered. The wonderful doctor yelled at me as if i am a child in front of the waiting room that she will not see me and that she couldnt care less.
