Dr. James Showery is an excellent spine surgeon. He explains everything about the procedure in detail. He’s patient when you’re upset about getting the surgery scheduled sooner rather than later because one needs to return to school to complete a Masters degree. He has a calming effect to get a hasty patient so ready to get the surgery over with, to calm down. He has excellent bedside manners. I visited Dr. Showery's office today. I had an MRI and X-ray done in December and an EMG a few weeks ago. The only reason it took me so long to visit his office was that they didn't have any openings for new patients earlier. Today, when I arrived, they told me I had to redo everything since it's been more than six months. I left the office without seeing the doctor, feeling that they care more about making money than about their patients.
