I saw Dr. Siefer on 3/7/19 due to a glitch after surgery done by another doctor who was on vacation. My sutures dissolved; the wound opened. Dr. Siefer walked in, never came closer than 6 feet, never examined me, and grumpily bellowed "Get your pants back up". I went to Chandler hospital emergency room. 2 weeks later I saw my surgeon, told him what happened, and he told me Dr. Siefer had many complaints of this sort, had been reprimanded, was a grump and the practice was hoping he would retire.
Dr Siefer acted as if I was interrupting his day. He didn't respond well to questions and made decisions about my health without a physical exam. He spent the entire time behind his computer. He asked a few questions and decided there was nothing he could do for my problem. In the end, I had to ask for a medication change. Afterwards, the medication change didn't happen due to a glitch on his end which the office did not follow-up on. So I went without medication for over 2 weeks. I saw this doctor twice complaining of the same problem both times. He completely disregarded my symptoms and told me there was nothing wrong, looked at me like I was crazy, and dismissed me without offering any direction. I have since identified my problem, which does indeed exist. It is definately in his practice of specialty, and I am very unhappy that I went to a specialist with this lack of concern or knowledge, let alone the abundance of arrogance and complete dismissal of my medical condition. Extremely disappointed in this doctor and even left feeling very irritated and aggravated. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient and the facility was very welcoming and clean. However the doctor himself seemed ready to leave as soon as he arrived and, despite trying to get him to stay longer and listen to symptoms, spent no more than 10 minutes with us. Excellent "bedside manner" friendly, concerned, interested in more than just the symptoms presented. Spent more time with me than any previous specialist.
