I have been Dr Monroe’s patient for 6 years and he has always took the extra time to take my questions and to Explain in a way I can understand and he has called me a few times to see how my condition is . He’s a very patient Doctor. and I have a lot of confidence when he suggests what would be the best treatment going forward..
Would rate zero stars if I could. My fiance went to him for a surgery, which she had a number of complications with, multiple infections from and the surgery ultimately failed and she's back to where she was. He wouldn't see her in the ER or ICU when she had the infections and asked that she just follow up in 2 MONTHS. She was able to get an appointment with a nurse practitioner sooner, but their office called and cancelled that on her today too. Steer clear of Dr. Monroe and possibly the whole office.
Only receiving 1 star bcz I had to trigger it to leave the review. A negative 5 would be more appropriate. My family member has been his patient for nine years. I have attended 95% of his visits. It is not unusual for Dr. Monroe to enter the exam room and call my family member by the wrong name. It is clear from the context of his conversations with my family member, he has not reviewed the chart before entering the room. My husband has been going to him for several years and he did ok, but this last year not so much. He had some test run and the numbers came back high. Then after my husband’s request to stay on top of the situation he ask for another test to see what should be next. That was in august of 2023, this is Jan of 2024. After several messages and calls to the office during this time he was told each time that someone would get back with him. Well it hasn’t happened yet.
