I'm from Illinois, visiting friends this month. I was on a recent month-long trip to New Zealand; and, my autoimmune disease started attacking my eye. As soon as I got to Ocala, I started trying to find a dr to see me. Everyone I found, including the ER, tried to treat me for conjunctivitis, even though I told them that's not what's wrong with me. Dr. McNair is fabulous. He takes as much time as the patient needs, and he listens! :-) I had one cataract removed in 2018 and the lens was replaced with a monofocal lens set for distance. Okay, fine, I could drive without glasses after that, but the vast majority of my day is spent doing close-range things: editing, court reporting and transcription, artwork, playing music.
