Well, I'd love to tell you about my visit,but as I parked my car in the parking garage I received a phone call telling me that after a month of waiting for an appointment he no longer had time to see me and I'd have to reschedule for another time. I had waited a month, agreed to go on a day when the kids had no school, babysitters and took time off of work then drove 40 minutes each way for this appointment. After being told the swollen lymph node was ok and we should just watch it. Dr Flaherty took one look and did a biopsy on my first visit the second visit it was removed. He had done other surgeries for my family so I knew I was in good hands. After the sergury he explained that it was the size of a plum and was very close to my corroded artery and was glad it was out. Non smoker with half inch spot on lung lead me to Dr Flaherty He was frank, professional, genuine about helping, and dedicated to his profession. I was able see him within a week. He set up the surgery for removal of lymph nodes. I’m told with complications he personally held together his team and successfully achieved the goal in surgery. He’s a super star surgeon with down to earth qualities. His red team of staff at the hospital of central ct are very lucky to have him. Thank you Dr for not giving up.
