Seems to be harried and highly political and I suspect a racist. He couldn't stop criticizing and stating his direct opposition to what he calls Obama Care. He is obviously a tparty advocate and can't seem to find creative ways to deal with my medical issues. He is basically a "PILL PUSHER" and I saw a DO in the past for ten years or more and they offered many good suggestions and alternative methods of dealing with serious medical issues. i did not have to listen to his tea party antics, I did however get to have about 5 minutes of medical issues before be started his 10 min. pitch on his anti-Obama merchandise he was so proud of. I left there wondering what had just happened. I decided to give it one more try only to find out he had made his business a Limited Liability Co. and after asking him something and hearing the words "my attorney says....", was enough for me. After 8 years of being his patient, I am done.
He likes politics and pushes the tea party hiding his tax money in other countries

Have been seeing Dr.Dean for a few years now & am very happy with him. He will not let me get away with anything! Am diabetic & he has really helped me out. He is concerned & compassionate. Always prompt to call back if I have questions. Have no problem getting in to see him when I have a problem, even if he fits me in at the end of a busy day. Don't think some of the other raters have been going to the same doctor I have.
I agree with the 8/27/10 poster. Dr. Dean is very dismissive. I no longer go there. Several times I went in with more then one thing wrong and he would try to run out of the room while I was trying to bring up the next issue. He would usually refer me to a specialist because he didn't know. The issues were not that uncommon and I figured he could try to treat them. The previous reviewers basically sum it up. He is indeed arrogant, dismissive, rude, short, stand-offish, and elitists. My review is based on my experiences and those of friends and family with Dr. Jacob Dean. One friend, who is a med tech, said he must believe he can diagnose by telepathy because he won't listen to patients. Nor will he take the time to try to find anything out UNLESS he can bill you for extra tests. Being a nurse myself, I would never treat a patient the way I was treated at this first time visit. I left the office crying as none of my issues were addressed and I was given a prescription I didn't even need. I will not get it filled and I will not follow up with this physician. He didn't even take the time to ask me what the issue was... too bad he takes everything his staff types into the EHR as solid gold... NOPE!!
Have been seeing Dr. Dean for 3 or 4 years. This doctor will not let you get away with anything. His has taken care of all my medical needs and is quick to recognize symptoms and diagnos problems. Have had great response on call-backs and getting seen quickly when needed. If you're looking for a pain pill pusher he is not the doctor for you. He has NEVER rushed me out the door and has always listened patiently to any and all my complaints.
