Dr. Jawitz refused to treat the wounds he created in both my knees. I had gaping holes, that were severely infected, as a result of injections he gave me to help treat a skin condition. I needed to go to wound care center, to have the dead matter taken out. I then needed major surgery on each knee to remove each bursa, and close the holes that were larger than a silver dollar, down to the bone. The best he could do was say he was sorry. My suggestion is to find another Dermatologist.

I was quite disappointed in my last visit with Dr Jawitz in his Bradenton office. He came into the examination room, immediately asked abruptly "What are you here for?" Explained we noticed marks that did not seem good. his response was "take your shirt off". He never introduced himself or anything. He walked out to get something and came back and immediately started spraying the dry ice on my body and said after I will see you in six months. He walked out. Will never return to his office!!!
Outdated procedures routinely performed in less than sterile conditions. Personal experience included having an open incision procedure occurring with room door open and people walking through constantly, other patients looking into the room, at one point the tech removed her gloves, laid them down to do something, then put the same dirty gloves back on to resume the procedure. No sterile field was ever established for the procedure, nor was any anti-biotic prescribed for possible infection.FFF
Dr. Jawitz seems fine to me. I have no complaints
My boyfriend and I went to Dr. Jawitz to have a growth removed from his finger. It was a disaster! The doctor walked in, looked at my boyfriend's hand and said, 'Yep, it's a wart!' The doctor never bothered to ask how long it's been there, what treatment we've tried or whether or not my boyfriend had a compromised immune system. (He does not have HIV or AIDS) The doctor froze the wart and basically dismissed any questions we had regarding the treatment. I went to this doc with what I thought was a wart the size of a pencil eraser. I later found out it was a basal cell. For some stupid reason I trusted him. He cut a hole the size of a silver dollar. This was on my eyelid and he never grafted skin from anywhere else (although he told a student he did and I corrected him) and sent me to be stitched up. My entire eyelid had to be opened to make skin for the hole. He came in and told the tech to hurry up, it was backing up. Need to go for another issue and will live with cancer ... read more
Dr. Jawitz is a great dermatologist!! I trust him completely with all my skin care needs.
I went to this so called "doctor". What a nightmare! He walked into the exam room, said put this on. (gown for the waist up) When he came back in the room, he didnt even knock, just through the door open wide. He turned me around and opened the gown exposing my back. Door still wide open! Then turned me around and pulled the front of my gown down! Door still wide open, other patient in the hall. Then he left, saying get dressed.
