This attending physician was on the floor at Edinburg Children's when my son was admitted for appendicitis. She was difficult to understand as she mumbled and was wearing two masks and a face shield. When she palpated my son's abdomen during the assessment she used unnecessary force when looking for rebound tenderness when appendicitis had already been confirmed by CT, leaving my child in more pain than he already was. When we asked about my son's diagnosis she lied and said he had abscesses and that he had to have surgery. ... read more

Our Daugthers God mother recommended us to Dr. Santiago-Barouhas. The docotr was really nice and friendly, after taking my daugther to the quick care twice and just told me that it was only a viral infection which it was not, As soon as we took our Daugthe to Dr. Santiago-Barouhas she did everything the quick care did but went beyond the call of duty, she suggested us to admit our daugther to the hos[ital for observation and she was admitted for Rsv. and now she is good.

I am a new foster mom and brought in a foster child for a wellness exam. After waiting for an hour, they took vitals and conducted an interview. I repeatedly told the nurse I did not know answers to the questions because I was the foster parent. After about ten minutes, I was told the doctor would not be seeing the child because I was rude to the staff. I was never rude. I am upset that this office wasted my time. Instead of being sensitive to the needs of foster care, they asked me to leave.
