This man loves the sound of his own voice. He will talk over you when you are sitting in front of him pouring your heart out about your sexual health issues. Some praise him for looking into solutions to sexual health issues that other doctors won’t investigate. I think his success rate with such treatments is low and lacking in evidence, particularly his treatments for hard flaccid. Dr. Irwin Goldstein and the team at SDSM is incredible. This not only extends to the level of expertise of the practitioners at the office, but the overall demeanour of staff and environment within the office. Amazing doctor and person - the treatment I received through Dr. Goldstein at his practice is unlike anything else I've experienced in healthcare. My treatment was not only life-changing and effective, the consideration I received from Dr. G and team was probably the most healing/best part of being treated there.
I interviewed Dr. Goldstein for explantation of an old and installation of a new IPP. Had a thorough and pleasant visit, but in the end, I chose another doctor because Goldstein is out of network for me. Since that time, Sue, who seems to be the scheduler and office manager has done nothing but ignore my calls for assistance in filing a claim with BCBS. Dr. Goldstein recommended a transforaminal epidural steroid injection (TFESI). I had 2 adverse reactions from the injection, with the second reaction nearly killing me. No doctor from the healthcare team knows what to do about my chronic complications. I called Dr. Goldstein for help. When I explained to him my new state. He did not apologize to me verbally. Dr Goldstein never actually solved my problem, another doctor did that. In the meantime I saw him over a period of years. At times he behaved pretty clownish and absurd. Be forewarned.
Dr Goldstein is an irresponsible hack. He put me on eight months of antibiotics to solve a "prostate infection" that never existed. The tests were all negative. Yet, his God complex was convinced that he knew what was wrong. It turned out that he had no clue, yet he threw everything at it - the "shotgun approach" he called it. It was a three drug cocktail to mask my symptoms while using antibiotics to fight the "infection" and also wipe out my gut bacteria. This has caused me 20 years of other health-related issues. I give Dr Goldstein the highest possible rating on every criteria I can imagine. after 3 different previous doctors put absolutely zero creative thought into my specific condition and sent me on my way with standard meds (after spending a few minutes with me and running zero tests) i was about to give up. I was in Dr Goldstein's office for more than 3 hours! his testing (with state of the art equipment) pinpointed the exact issue and i finally have a pathway to recovery. HE REALLY CARES!
