All he carried about was my weight. He never asked me about my pain. I had to speck up fast and tell him about it. tried to give me medication that my Family Dr. has always took care of and would tell me, that she didn't know what she was doing. I have type 2 Diabetes and he tried to treat me for it, and my blood pressure. He was against heavy set people. I wouldn't recommend my dog to him. DR. Ira Derakshan should be given a medal for man of the year. I commend Dr. Derakshan for standing up for what he believes is right and believing in the oath he took to help people. Furthermore I am appauled at most of the Drs in WV for allowing their patients to suffer under the threat of buracracy.I know alot of chronic pain patients , even those dying with cancer that cant get any help. Its no wonder there are so many suicides, to ease their suffering.Most Drs load their patients down with acedemine(tylonol) based narcot... read more
Pretend this doctor has the bubonic plague and STAY AWAY FROM HIS OFFICE! He "pushes" narcotic drugs like they were candy. Check out his records at the West Virginia Board of Medicine at http://www.wvbom.wv.gov/List%20of%20Disciplinary%20Actions.pdf. AMONG OTHER DISPLINARY ACTION FROM OTHER STATES, in West Virginia he was required in 2005 to "Successfully complete and document completing a course in 'Controlled Substance Management'..."
