Went in to get my daughter’s eyes checked. Got told that she’s blind and that I would have to send her to the school for the blind and that was it no resources or help. Didn’t even register her as legally blind for 3 weeks after I had to call and complain. She has old views on the blind. Also likes to make appointments and doesn’t contact you. No empathy at all. Doctor Makar changed my life. I’m 5 days post op from strabismus surgery and my confidence had increased significantly! I had surgery on my left eye two years ago and it was the worst experience of my life! It made my vision worse and now I have cronic head aches that keep me up at night. Dr. Makar dropped me as a patient only a few months after my surgery and I had to get another referal when I tried to book an appointment to see her again. When I finally did get to see her, she pretty much told me I had to live with it. Excellent care! Dr Makar and her staff (Michelle) took the time to answer all of our questions. The office ran on time.
Very unprofessional. We’re from Windsor, drove 2 hrs to London for the appointment only to find out that they re-schedule our appointment without any phone calls or letter from them about the changes. Not impressed at all. My 14 month old baby just got tired from the trip. From their parking garage, there was no ramp for strollers or wheelchairs to get to the main entrance across the street. Such a bad experience!!!
