This man took 3+ years of my life! I do not recommend him. I’m not even sure if he’s still practicing medicine.
I had my first Colonoscopy ever and it went very well, at Seton Northwest Hospital. Somehow he was able to see past the Gatorade, after I failed to comprehend it could be an issue if I drank a little the morning before.
So far 52 mi ute wait for simple office visit
After seeing this doctor 5 min. he ordered colonoscopy/endoscopy. He didn't talk to us after procedure. At my followup they had no record of when and where procedures were done or results. I waited 3 weeks and had to go get my own records and send them to the doctor's office. Now 2 months later nobody will return my calls to give me information about my bloodwork that they said they needed to speak to me about. Lack of professionalism, lack of communication, horrible follow-up.
Dr Alam cured my Hep C back in the dark ages of pharmacology. He is smart as a whip, funny and very professional and concerned about his patients. His staff is great, no long waits, very orofessional operation.
The doctor and his staff are inconsiderate, callous and unprofessional! There was a whole lot of tragicomic issues but the worst is that during pre-op for a procedure by Dr. Alam, my husband hemoglobin was in the low 6s which means IMMEDIATELY send the person to the ER. This also was a drop of >2.5over less than 10 days which means that it is most likely a GI bleed that a GI doctor should find. Instead we were sent home. Our regular doc sent us to the ER; we ended up in the hospital for 7days.
