Visited Dr. Howard Mandela’s office during the after-hours clinic on Monday, July 28, 2025!!!! He does not overlook someone’s medical history (like most doctors do). Dr. Mandela evaluates every situation with exceptional patience and knowledge, and checks everything thoroughly with no shortcuts. Had an incredibly rude interaction with Dr. Mandel while desperately seeking a key for the bathroom so my 3 year old son could use the washroom on the 3rd floor while we waited for our prescription to be filled at the pharmacy. Although we are not patients of Dr. Mandel, i am heavily pregnant and was with my 3 year old. His office was the only one open on the 3rd floor where the washroom is located. Went here as part of the after hours clinic for a rash on daughter’s face. The receptionist could barely speak English and couldn’t find the surname in the system even when I spelled it out twice. The doctor interrupted me repeatedly or silenced me because he needed to type into the computer with two pointer fingers and could not multitask. As a result he did not listen to the conditions surrounding the rash. He decided it was acne even though I explained it was a new rash unresponsive to the existing acne treatment.
