I did not have a good experience with Dr. Hartz. I found him to be extremely rude and disrespectful throughout my visit. During my exam, he got up and stormed out of the room after stating that we were going to have to start the exam all over again. His reaction left me feeling as though I had done something wrong. He even commented that I was “making him work too hard this early in the morning.” At the end of my visit, he asked if I was married. Dr. Hartz is extremely professional and friendly. He is outstanding and I highly recommend him.
A very pleasant experience. Office staff greeted nicely and moved me through efficiently. Dr. Hartz was positive with a more -than-averagely difficult patient (my head kept dropping during the exam, something I can't really control). Ended with clear explanations about a very thorough eye exam. I can renew my driver's license! Ample parking outside the office. An easy walk, but watch out for old folks (like me) hobbling through the parking lot. Recommend without qualification!

Dr. Hartz was abrupt, surly and rude. He admitted he was having a bad day but, as a professional myself, I know it is unprofessional to take it out on patients. The exam itself was competent but I would not go back.
