My mother recently saw Dr Makipour. He was dismissive and rude and told my 80+ with GI Cancer that the problem was in her head! She hasn’t eaten in 2 weeks and had bad weight loss yet the endoscopy was not scheduled for 2-weeks. We will be communicating with Sentara also to register our observations about poor care.
He is the worst doctor I have ever seen. His demeanor from the start was that I was a bother instead of a patient. I told him why I was there, and he immediately told me I was wasting his time. I was looking for a new doctor for my problem but he didn’t even ask questions or bother to examine me. He didn’t even make eye contact. This visit lasted less than 2 minutes for which I will be paying a bill for. For what? His utter lack of compassion, empathy and respect for a patient and human being was disgraceful.
I appreciate Dr Makipour and his staff! They are very professional, but also friendly. Every experience I’ve had there has been positive!
Great staff. So friendly and prompt. I was checked in right away. The office was very clean and well kept. The doctor spent a lot of time with me and answered all my questions.
Unprofessional practice who wrongfully discharges patients for reasons not based on facts. The front desk and office staff does not return calls to patients either. Very unsatisfactory customer service.
I was seen immediately on a busy day. Very happy with the staff and the care provided by the physician. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Great experience all around from the ladies who checked me in to the nurse who took my vitals. The doctor was warm and kind. I never felt rushed and was able to ask as many questions as I wanted.
