It’s unbelievable that DR Horton tries to mislead buyers with its so-called “Red Tag” sales event, claiming there are huge discounts. People who aren’t closely tracking home prices can easily fall for it. For example, a home that’s been listed at $300,000 for weeks suddenly appears during the “sale” with a crossed-out price of $320,000 and a “sale price” of $300,000. I purchased a DR Horton home in Lockhart, Texas, heartland, . Before my one year mark inspection on my home for warranty purposes. They refused to fix my ceiling. All they want to do is patch. On the ceiling, you can see where the seams of the Drywall meet and they are separated and you can see the line running down the living room. They said they fixed my shingles on the roof, but I have no evidence. The floor in my garage is still cracked and they won’t fix it. If you buy a DR Horton home be prepared to rebuild it within the first few years as if it's 30 years old. They ignore or deny every warranty request. It is the worst workmanship possible and poorest quality materials. They put them up so fast and it looks like sticks and cardboard. They are cutting so many corners, they sell the dirt and replace it with rocks and garbage so your grass will never grow. I thought I'd never be able to buy a house, but the people at D.R Horton helped me and guided me thru the process of what I needed in order to not only qualify for a home but to qualify with a reasonable price and now my family and I have our forever home.
