We are scheduled to close a house built in Valley Ranch by DR Horton (original close date 3 months ago). It has been the worst new home build experience that I have every built. We did a walk through for inspection last week. There were broken windows, broken stove, most of the sinks were leaking, human waste permeating the house, molding not completed, columns built at a slant, trim no done, cabinets broken. I paid well over $250,000 for my house with lots of extras. I recently noticed one of the corner beams supporting my porch that is part of house roof line has moved. Almost off the cement completely. They never secured it to the cement. D.R. Horton does not want to assume responsibilty to fix it when it was clearly not secured correctly. I was told they respectfully decline responsibility.
