When it comes to warranty work, this home builder is less interested in what they can do and more interested in what they can avoid doing. The reason people have homes built is so they can have warranties and don’t have to worry about things while they settle in. But things that are clearly messed up during construction are considered not covered. Getting the warranty work done is also not very easy. Future buyers, please be cautious. I trusted D.R. Horton’s reputation when I went under contract for a Maverick home at The Avenue in Allen. The sales manager assured me that two Maverick homes (1566 & 1560 Dulwich) were identical in size and price. Based on that, I signed for 1560 Dulwich. I later discovered that 1560 Dulwich is 54 sq. ft. smaller than represented — but priced the same.
