Based on my experience, I would not recommend buying from D.R. Horton Huntsville. The biggest issue was not just the workmanship concerns during the walkthrough. It was how the situation was handled afterward. I attended the final walkthrough and raised concerns about the proposed repair method for damaged baseboards. After I objected, D.R. Horton discontinued the walkthrough. Later, D.R. DR Horton is a terrible company! Their sales people and leadership will not call back and run from problems. We bought a home less than 60 days ago and have been flooded in by street flooding two times and less than 40 days. This is not a hurricane or tropical storm it’s just heavy rain. They knew they had a drainage problem. The city knows that the county knows it and they are building homes anyway that are going to flood. We purchased a home in Waterford Brooksville Fl with contingency on selling ours. Thank god ours didn’t sell in time, I would not move into that house. First they did the wrong color and stone on front. We paid extra for laminate wood floor in bedroom they were putting carpet.
